Go to the juice purifier, they said. This will start your digestion, they said. And help you poop, they said. When I say “they,” I mean advertisers, promoters, and juice diet advocates.

Ah, go for that. Even though a previous attempt at a juice diet left me so ridiculously hungry that I gave up after half a day, I vowed that I would be strong this time.

The first step in the juice purification process is to understand what you are doing, so don’t confuse it with the mixture! Juice is when you consume the pressed juices of fruits and vegetables and separate them from the pulp. The mixture mixes all the edible parts of fruits and vegetables, including pasta and fiber parts.

Juice cleanses are short and intense periods of time that usually last from 3 to 10 days, when you consume only fruit and vegetable juice. Manufacturers and promoters of juice purifiers claim that they help to lose weight and detoxify the body.

I opted for a quick two-day juice diet
Nosh Detox, which claims to help you lose weight and feel good, cleanses and nitrifies inside and out without feeling hungry, and removes toxins from your system. At the cost of a generous £ 110, I was hopeful. In fact, Nosh Detox says that 98% of customers lost a few pounds within a few days.

Two black gift bag-style bags arrive at my apartment in the afternoon before I start cleaning the juice. In fact, I spread generous slices of hummus on the crackers when the delivery guy shows up. There are also sausages and garlic bread in the oven. I took a tentative sip of sookie.

Each bag contains one day of juice. There is a morning tonic and four 500ml cocktails, each with a bright and vibrant “healthy” color. I’m excited, though I’m still skeptical that this will keep me full. Nosh Detox also says that cleaning helps reduce sugar cravings, so I pray it kicks my 4pm chocolate habit.

It is recommended to avoid hard cardio while brushing, although gentle exercise is encouraged. As a personal trainer and health writer, will I listen? None of them. Did I listen?

I dive into my usual morning workout-a mix of weight, cardio, and high-intensity interval training.

After my workout, I go to my desk and pour a lemon-ginger tonic with a sour taste-to drink at 8: 30-well described as a ” healer.” At first I despise taste. In fact, I despise the taste of full stop. But, it’s lemon and ginger (not honey), so what did I expect?

Later in the morning it was time for my first 500ml juice; Rehydrator, drink at 11am. But it’s only 10: 20, and I’m tingling and I can’t help myself. It’s a delicious blend of summer fruits as well as flax seeds, which are known to aid digestion and boost things up. Well, after just 15 minutes, everything is “pushed” and I’m experiencing my first move on a juice diet.

At 11: 35, just 1 hour and 15 minutes after my second juice, I give up and get the seeds. And a few Maltsters. I’m rightfully hungry, and it hasn’t even been half a day. I don’t know if I’m hungry because I know I can’t eat, or if I’m actually hungry, which I think is possible.

Lunch time is 1.30; another 500ml bottle of goodness that actually fills me up this time. I feel really good. Honestly….

Then 4.30-healer, green juice. I’m a sucker for green juice, but since they tend to pack in crazy amounts of fruit, I’m also a little suspicious of sugar. It contains avocado, mango, watercress, pineapple, and Green synergy powder filled with protein. It’s surprisingly good. Like Bali in a bottle. Also, after that, I feel very energized and ready for an evening of teaching classes at the gym.

From the point of view of digestion, I am quite gaseous. I’m not bloated, but I get the call to “go”.

I get home for dinner; a yellow juice filled with fruit that also tastes good. After that, I cheat again with a huge bowl of yogurt and granola. And a carrot. I can’t disagree with that – I have this incessant urge to chew something.

The juice cleaning diet accumulates about 900-1000 calories per day, far from the 2000 calories per day recommended by the NHS. So no wonder my stomach wants grub.

But tonight I sleep like a baby. Apart from my over-full bladder waking up at 1am, desperate for a little one. That’s what happens, I suppose, when you drink half a liter of juice before you hit the bag.

I woke up on the second day full of energy.

At 8: 30, I only drink half a lemon and ginger Tonic-it makes me physically miserable. Instead, my coffee starts my digestion today, and trust me, you don’t want me to develop that.

I mix my juices today, choosing juice 4.30 at 11am. It’s a healer again – this time made with kiwi, leafy vegetables, banana, oranges, and green synergistic powder-and it tastes amazing. However, I lower it so fast that it doesn’t even touch the sides. So, half a bottle of fruit and nuts with almonds finishes me off.

I feel like such a cheater, but I remember I’ve been working out, so I’ll need a few extra calories. Between juices 1.30 and 4.30 I snack a little more; chips, Malteasers (again), dried fruit, granola straight out of the box.

At 16 o’clock on the second day, my insides are not happy. I have to run to the toilet several times, and while on the phone, the urge to go hits me, and I experience a slight panic. I’m guessing it’s a combination of random snacks and more than two liters of fruit and vegetables.

At the end of the second day, I go to bed and enjoy another happy sleep. My juice diet is over.

So what’s changed? Are my tight jeans loose? My glowing skin?

No, to be honest, there. My size hasn’t changed, of course, and my skin is the same, but I have strange piles of energy.

The most obvious thing I noticed was the increase in the chair. I feel drained. Empty. No wonder, because I’ve just spent the last two days rushing to the toilet. I expected the juices to shift things a bit – but I wasn’t prepared for how much, experience could compete with

irrigation of the colon. Every time I went to, um, relive myself, it always felt incomplete, and in 10 minutes I would be back. I’ve lost track of the number of trips I’ve made.

Doing a juice diet also taught me that if you exercise, your body really needs extra fuel. If you don’t fill the tank, you can’t expect to run.

Still, knowing that I spent two days giving my body so many vitamins and minerals is reassuring. I hope this health injection will help me ward off the endless insects and lurgs that are flying right now.

Although gentle exercise is encouraged when cleaning the juice, intense exercise should be avoided.

  1. Don’t feel guilty about adding solids

To continue cleaning, some people need to add a little something extra. “That’s good! Why not turn one of your juices into a smoothie with an alternative to cow’s milk, like cashews? Or include a handful of almonds?

  1. Remember how much juice you drink

If you are preparing your own pressed juices to purify the juice, be careful not to drink too much or too little. For one to three days of cleaning, it is recommended to drink about 32 ounces of juice, at least half of which is green juice.

  1. Eat lightly after brushing

Purifying the juice should revitalize your system, so it’s important that you don’t go back directly to a normal diet. Make sure that you eat solid food again by adding the ingredients for a certain number of days.
